Travel & Stay

To help you plan your stay, we have put together a list of some of our favorite hotels, restaurants, and things to do in Athens.

Traveling from the USA and Europe

Given that the wedding will take place during the Christmas holidays, we recommend booking your flights well in advance, as holiday travel can be especially busy during that time of year. All international arrivals to Athens land at Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos," located just outside the city center. For guests who may require a Schengen visa to enter Greece, please let us know and we will be happy to provide any necessary documentation.Transportation from the airport can be arranged through taxi services such as Uber or FreeNow. There is also a designated taxi queue at the airport; however, due to increased holiday travel, we recommend booking transportation in advance.
Car rental services are also available at the airport.

Where to Stay

Athens offers a variety of neighborhoods to stay in, depending on the type of experience you are looking for. The wedding will take place in central Athens, near Syntagma Square. For convenience and easy access to restaurants, sights, and nightlife, we recommend staying in the city center.
If you prefer a more relaxed, alternative, or local setting, Glyfada and Vouliagmeni offer beautiful seaside options, while Kifisia offers a quieter, more residential atmosphere.

Anthology of Athens, The Leading Hotels of the World
Located in the historic center of Athens, close to Hadrian’s Gate and the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and just a few minutes from Syntagma Square.

A former textile factory transformed into a boutique hotel, centrally located in Athens.
The Zillers Boutique Hotel
Housed in the former family home of German-born architect Ernst Ziller, who designed hundreds of landmark buildings across Greece in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
These are just a few places we like, but there are many other great options. If you decide to stay in the center of Athens, we recommend the neighborhoods of Kolonaki and Syntagma. There are many Airbnb options as well.KIFISIA
